THE VILLAGE @ GÜREJE

Including and extending behind the boutique space to the Art Café + Bar, back into the Renate Albertsen-Marton (RAM) Gallery - which also serves as a performance space for events - and over to a captivating outdoor patio with an equally colorful ambience, film projections, and recently added food truck - The Village @ Gureje is an arts center and creative community that brings together luminaries from Brooklyn and beyond.

Talented individuals and groups are encouraged and supported through an entrepreneurial spirit into a sustainable space with shared resources.

The Village @ Gureje also hosts a diverse schedule of classes and workshops offered through our consortium of resident artists. Classes and workshops have included figure drawing, drumming, textile dyeing and designs, communal yoga, self defense, and spiritual gatherings.

Additionally - but not limited to - hosting includes a variety of private special events: weddings, birthdays and networking events on a first come, first served rental basis.

Places like Gureje are what embody the true potential in a community. Rather than improvement by substitution or displacement, Jimi seeks to bring together the amazing talents and flavors that are already present in a place.”
